CHALLENGES TURNED INTO AMAZING LIFE CHANGES...
During the summer of 2009, I was given the "GIFT" of oncology Massage at Smillow Cancer Center. I remember feeling EXCITED + EMPOWERED!!! It was something in my schedule that did not involve Doctors, results, blood draws,chemo BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.....
This "GIFT ", a single 60 minute moment in time, set me on a path that was beyond anything I could have imagined. Many years, classes and hours later, I am able to return this "GIFT" to others in a safe and educated way.
Oncology massage meets patients where they are in their experience with cancer. This individualized treatment aims to soothe and support. Benefits may include improved relaxation, sleep, and immune function as well as relieving anxiety, pain,fatigue and nausea.
